Giveaway: Tropical Traditions (CLOSED)
How many of you are familiar with Tropical Traditions Coconut Cream Concentrate? I think of it as coconut butter, which is a tasty, melt-in-your-mouth treat. The Coconut Cream Concentrate (CCC) is made with whole coconut meat in concentrated form. There’s nothing else added to this, just 100% certified organic coconut.
This tasty gem is ideal for just about everything. Instead of regular butter, spread CCC on your pancakes or toast; or use it as a non-dairy creamer for your tea or coffee. Hot cocoa would probably be delicious too. Mix it in batters, soups, whatever…And of course, this would be perfect in desserts of all kinds. Ice cream anyone? But like the label on the jar says: this is a food, not a cooking oil. It will burn in high heat.
I can't wait to make some desserts but for now I put mine in my smoothies. When I make them, I usually put some coconut oil in it but with the CCC I much prefer that! And I’m very generous with that scoop, too. Really adds a nice creaminess to my smoothie, which is perfect since my smoothies are dairy-free.
If you’re looking for recipes and other inspiration, check out Tropical Tradition’s free coconut recipes blog or scroll to about mid-way down the CCC page to find recipes using CCC.
Most likely when you first receive your jar of CCC it may be hard and will have separated with the oil settling on top, kind of like peanut butter. An easy fix is immersing the jar in hot water long enough to soften the cream so you’re able to mix it (they have a how-to video).
