MIA

Sorry to be MIA so much these days...I thought being on vacation I'd be caught up with all my blogging but with the holidays (and all things associated with them), wacky weather, and my computer out of commission (using hubby's right now) it's been a bit challenging. Thank you all for your patience with me these last couple months or so. I feel like a total flake but I hope to be back in action and in routine again soon. I know I've said that before but I will be by. Promise. I hope you all are enjoying the season, whatever you celebrate and that 2009 is healthy and prosperous for you!

Poll is closed, results are in!

Results being both unofficial and official. I went for my sonogram yesterday, which was very exciting! So the unofficial results are as predicted by readers: 25% voted a boy ; 25% voted twins and 50% voted a girl . Officially, I will tell you this first off I am NOT having TWINS! Big phew! Although, that would've been fun. Twins don't run in either of our families so I didn't think along those lines much - well, maybe a little. :) Now, boy or girl? Well, a whole lotta you thought girl (including me) not just here on my blog but at work, in my family, etc. Anytime someone I knew said "boy" I thought really? You sure? Well, the 25% of you who said boy and the rare person I spoke with who said boy are... Right. I'm having a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so happy and excited and certainly looking forward to his debut next spring. What will he look like? What will we name him? Anyway, now call me biased but I believe he has the most perfect profil

If I had three thumbs...

...I'd give three thumbs up to each of these products below. Have any of you tried Laughing Giraffe's Vanilla Almond Snakaroons ? We found our first package at Whole Foods but our raw vegan store also carries them. Oh boy these are snarfalicious! Yeah, sure you can probably make these yourself for a fraction of the price but I'm not sure they'd be as tasty besides it's fun to buy something a little more decadent. We pick these up from time to time as a special treat for ourselves. I just wish these stores would stock more of them because they go fast! They taste kind of "buttery" not sure that's the best description but these macaroons have a richness to them that's different and better from standard macs. The first time I tried these I nearly fainted. Okay, not really but they're that good. Now, on to raw chocolate. I've tried different brands - some tasty ones and not-so tasty ones. Today, we were at the Raw Vegan Source (the raw vegan s

One Two Buckle My Shoe

One: I updated the poll to the right by changing the end date. Two weeks left to vote boy, girl or twins! My ultrasound is scheduled for the 16th so after that day we'll make an announcement. Tee hee! Aren't you excited? I AM! Two: Interesting article if you care to read called " Diet's Impact on Fertility ." Take what you want from it but overall I agree that diet has a HUGE impact on fertility. Yay for baby! Or babies. :)

Another Baby Update

Sorry for the absence dear friends and thank you for your concern as well. I'm truly fine. I don't have much of an excuse for not posting or visiting many of your blogs other than taking it easy. I had full intentions of catching up on all my blog reading over the Thanksgiving weekend but obviously that didn't happen. I've been working a little more these days trying to get all of my work done so I can take lots o'vacation through the holidays but it's challenging at times. My downtime consists of just chillin and not much action. I know I've said I'll be by your blogs and I mean it ; I'm just slow these days. On to the update: My belly is G-R-O-W-I-N-G! It's all good though. I've only gain like 7-8 pounds over these four+ months but I feel at times like I've gained 20! Depending on what I wear can you tell I'm pregnant - just beginning to show really. I did have to invest in a belly band and some maternity clothes because regular p
