Farmer John

Sam and I watched a documentary the other day titled, "The Real Dirt on Farmer John."

It's about a midwest farmer, John Peterson, who inherits his father's farm and with it the ups and downs of farming. It's a story of his successes, failures, growth, change, and redemption. He's also an artist! An expressive individual, you might say. He also turns his regular ol' farm into an organic one, which back in the day, wasn't easy. Probably still isn't.

It's from 2005 but definitely worth the watch. I found it so heartwarming and inspiring but it also reminded me how there are still people out there (and there always will be) who don't know how to deal with "different." In the next breath though, it reminded me how many good people are out there, communities, willing to support a cause or a person they believe in and in this movie it's Farmer John.

Hope you enjoy!
