Hey hey hey! How was Thanksgiving? Ours was nice, low key and turkey-free. :) Now, the chaos begins as Christmas isn't too far away. I love Christmas and I love to shop but shopping during the holidays and fighting the crowds isn't my idea of a good time. Maybe some of you aren't fans either and prefer to (and smartly) shop early, which I should do, or online. Perhaps you're in need of something special just for YOU. Shabby Apple , an online boutique of women's dresses, has some great specials going on as you may have seen posted in my sidebar. If you love shopping online, check out some of the deals going on. Now the giveaway news! Shabby Apple is generously offering one reader their  Francine skirt ! Love! Hello Friends! Happy Thanksgiving week! I have loads to talk about but I'm challenged with a lot of work so posts will be slowly but surely coming along. Hmm, maybe even my garden post I keep meaning to share (ugh, so late with that one and I keep saying I'm going to post it...just need to download pics). Not sure if you've noticed but in my sidebar I've been posting daily specials from ShabbyApple.com  to check out and take advantage of. There will be another sale tomorrow on a specific item (can't reveal what it is yet!) and then on Wednesday, the 23rd, there will be one last one. And from what I understand, it's not to be missed! I have no idea what it is yet but you'll see for yourselves on Wednesday. Just an FYI, I am an affiliate of ShabbyApple.com so if you go through my site, I have the opportunity to earn a small commission, however, I won't get all pushy about it. There will be a link in my sidebar with the occasional blip from me but mostly,...

Weekend Recap

Image
Howdy kids! Hopefully, you had a good weekend. As usual, it wasn’t long enough but my weekend was good. Not too busy which was nice. Saturday we had wacko typical spring weather where we had rain squalls throughout the day so in between we had some sun breaks and even hail. Sunday’s weather was better. Sorta. It didn’t rain, if that counts. It was cloudy, a little breezy at times, and cold. We spent a few hours at the community garden . I didn’t do much there other than get my ego stroked from people telling me how smart YS2 is and chase after him everywhere! He’s a quick one that little guy. We met hubby’s brother, Matt, there. Caleb is enamored with Matt. In fact, the day before all during dinner, he kept saying “Ma’h!” (said like Matt but without the T – a hard short H sound instead). We took this as a hint to call Matt and invite him out to the garden. I’m sure you wanted to know all that… Did you know that Sam is on the community garden board again? He took last ...

Happy Friday! Let’s begin this FF (fabulous Friday) with a giveaway from Shabby Apple ! This is a little different than most giveaways shared at HiHoRosie’s Place but this is one that just couldn’t be passed up. What is it about a dress that makes you feel flirty and feminine, like you should be holding hands with your sweetie while walking barefoot in the cool green grass, or having a picnic underneath the perfect tree, or riding a cute bicycle with colorful tulips in the basket? Oh excuse me, I was daydreaming… But seriously, I find that many of the dresses from Shabby Apple invite those kinds of feelings. There are so many to choose from that fit any personality, body type, size, and occasion that once you put that dress on you can’t help but feel a little brighter. Shabby Apple offers a wide variety of women’s dresses , little girls’ dresses , and accessories . And with their shop by body type and fit guide (see style tools tab), finding the perfect dress just got a litt...
