Review n Giveaway: TT Organic Skin Exfoliator

I wish my skin was always smooth, youthful looking and never dry but…

I wear flip flops and sandals all the time
I chase a toddler in said footwear thru playgrounds, dirt and grass
I wash my hands a lot and then some more
I don’t always drink enough water
I’m outside a lot, even if it’s not always sunny

…so, as you can see from this small list, my skin gets dry and rough (especially feet – ew). You can probably list some of these same things or others, I bet.

Thankfully, I now have a quick spa treatment I can use at home with Tropical Traditions’ organic skin exfoliator. Smells nice too, not perfumey. My choice: citrus-mint.

I used it on my hands – so soft.
I used it on my feet – way smoother.
I used it on my elbows and knees – ahh.
I even tried it on my face - nice. It’s a bit rough for the face so I wouldn’t suggest doing it often or if you have sensitive skin. But I used this a couple of times knowing it wouldn't clog my pores. Some might find it too oily for their face but I didn't; I actually like using organic oil (olive, coconut, or almond) as a moisturizer so this was great for me. Tip: mix scrub very well before using!

The oil content is a bit high, so be careful stepping out of the shower! No, I didn’t slip but still thought I’d caution you a bit anyway. Just wanting to keep you safe. :)

When I first got the package (fast shipping btw) it was a little oily on the outside and some had accumulated in the lid. The seal itself wasn’t compromised or damaged so I chose to keep it. Obviously, the jar isn’t leak-proof plus it’s summer so this didn’t bother me. However, I did notify TT just to be sure though, and they apologized and assured me it’s not common for that to happen. They would've sent me another jar if I had asked. You can be sure, too, they will take care of you if you have any issues with any of their products. They’re great to work with.

Tropical Traditions uses all natural and organic ingredients in their scrubs, including virgin palm oil, which is said (from their website) to “contain high concentrations of a powerful form of Vitamin E called “tocotrienols” which published research has shown is 40–60 times more potent than alpha-tocopherol (the most common form of Vitamin E found as an additive in most skin care products.).” So nice! Click here for a list of ingredients or more info.

It’s available in Citrus-Mint, Lavender, and Unscented. It’s currently on sale for $11.99 (regularly $16.95).
