Society pushes us all to become more fit an healthy, but many people struggle to do this. Many people feel that they have "tried everything" to lose weight and be healthier, but nothing works for them in their opinion. They are easy, little things to do to be healthier throughout your day, that wont force you to crash diet or change your whole lifestyle.

1. Drink as much water as you possibly can.
Although you may know that you should drink water, you may not know why. There are endless benefits to drinking water throughout the day. The first is that it helps detoxify your system and flush out all of the unwanted toxins in your body. This will in turn make you lose weight and also keep your skin fresh looking and very clear. Not only will drinking water clean you up, inside and out, but it will also speed up your metabolism. Speeding up your metabolism will burn more calories faster throughout the day, and will keep your slim, trim, and more healthy that you were. Lastly, drinking lots of water will make you feel fuller throughout the day. This means that you will be less inclined to give in to your cravings, eat out of boredom, or make unhealthy food selections.

2. Don't stop moving.
When you see of feel someone fidgeting, most people would find it annoying and silently wish that they would stop. It is time to consider, however, that they are the smart ones! Constant movement is a great way to speed up your metabolism. Fidgeting is constant movement that you can do anywhere in any situation. It will burn calories while also toning the muscles you are repeatedly flexing.

3. Take extra trips.
No matter where you are going, take the path of MOST resistance. Walk the route that takes longer. Carry one thing at a time so you have to make multiple trips. When you are going up or down the stairs, retrace your steps a couple of times just for fun. These are easy and quick ways to burn extra calories that can easily fit into your every day schedule.

4. Dress warmer than you think you need to.
With every increase in your body temperature, you will burn fourteen percent more calories per hour. You know what that means: layer up! Keep yourself nice and toasty at all times to raise your metabolism and burn more calories throughout the day. Although it may be uncomfortable, keep extra layers on while you work out as well. This will make you workout have a bigger impact and will let you burn more, and therefore lose more. Keep in mind, however, that this will probably increase your sweating during your workout. Make sure you prepare for this by bringing extra fluids. Be sure to replenish all of the extra liquid that you will be losing.
