I stopped growing lettuce,...Incredibly impressive. I stopped growing lettuce, because not enough family members eat it and because I was feeding the groundhog. (Love trap, next year, love trap). And our soil in NJ is full of clay, so when I did grow carrots, they came out like little stubs. Would need to mix in a lot of sand to get 'em to grow properly.<BR/><BR/>What's your soil like? What did you do it before planting?
